Being given free reign to make my own pieces and ‘play’ on an Avid Symphony by Paul Islwyn Thomas, head of Art at BBC Wales in 2001 as part of the ground breaking Arts series ‘Double Yellow’ was probably one of those career breaks that only happen once in a lifetime but I relished it and the programmes that came after it. ‘Painting the Weather.’2002, BBC4.’Painting the People,’ 2003, BBC4/2 and 'Painting Humanity,' 2008. Making artistic programmes about art is a direction I intend to develop in the future.

dub-yello.jpgDouble Yellow Series I & II

BBC1 Wales. 2001

Series Producer: Chris Morris

Exec. Producer: Paul Thomas

A fantastic arts magazine series featuring storytellers, animation, drama, still photography, music etc. in an eclectic mix that left the audience to put it together. Avant gard and ahead of its time it unfortunately got axed half way through the 2nd series. Aside from edits I was responsible for off/ online, graphics, etc. which made for some long hours.
